The cast of Gossip Girl reportedly caused chaos while filming scenes in New York recently.According to the New York Post, police barricades and extra security were needed after over-enthusiastic fans descended on the filming location near the city's Empire Hotel.
One onlooker claimed that co-stars and real-life couple Blake Lively (Serena van der Woodsen) and Penn Badgely (Dan Humphrey) sparked excitement when they were spotted "making out in the lobby" between takes.
The insider added that scores of extras were also present in the area and that they were clad in 1920s outfits for a scene where character Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick) throws a themed party.
Earlier this year, star Taylor Momsen (Jenny Humphrey) revealed that the cast were once shouted at by school principals for unintentionally encouraging students to skip class to watch filming.
